How can you choose the best online shapewear store? All of them are claiming to offer the best shapewear products at the most competitive prices. After weeks of comparing reviews, prices, quality and a variety of various shapewear websites, we have narrowed it down to two main websites – Spanx and Shapermint.
Both brands carry a wide assortment of shapewear in all sizes and colors. Plus, they offer body slimming wear in three different compression levels. Also, they both offer other items such as leggings, pantyhose, tights and bras. They are also similar in the fact that they offer an easy to follow sizing chart and a free return policy.
Both online stores are dominating the shapewear market but for totally unique reasons. Read on, below and discover the differences between each company before you decide which one is the best choice for you.
Shapermint is a newer online shapewear store that has brought together some of the world’s best-rated shapewear brands all under one roof. Some of the shapewear brands you can expect to find there are: MaidenForm, MiracleSuit, Bali, Wacoal, Empetua and many more.
They firmly believe that the success of their store depends on their customer’s happiness, so they actually listen to your reviews (we were surprised too). If any of their products receive three stars or less, they will promptly remove that item.
But besides just being an online platform for selling shapewear, they have transformed themselves into a movement. A movement that is changing the way we view shapewear and our bodies. Many shapewear brands tend to market body shaping wear for those who society considers to be overweight.
But one of the reasons we loved Shapermint is that they have created a movement of more than a million women. All of us who are dedicated in using shapewear do not conceal their curves but to help them flaunt them. It was quite inspiring watching several of their videos that positively encouraged women from all ages to love their bodies.
It kind of makes you proud to purchase shapewear from a company that is trying so hard to build up women and not tear us down.
Spanx basically put shapewear on our radar, by reinventing how shapewear was viewed. For decades, shapewear was considered to be taboo and only worn on Sunday’s by your Granny when she went to church. Definitely, not something we would’ve been proud to admit that you wore.
Spanx has sparked a shapewear revolution by creating stiff, uncomfortable shapewear into something you would actually want to wear. Shapewear was reborn with seamless designs, breathable fabrics and grip strips to prevent slippage and so on. When compared to Shapermint, they do offer a wider variety of styles and products.
But, often many of their products are out of stock or those that are in a reasonable price range are poorly made. They are more dedicated to making money than listening to the needs of their customers. We noticed while drifting from link to link on their webpage that many of their products had zero or one star ratings.
Another aspect about Spanx is that their plus-size shapewear was not with the so-called average sized shapewear. You need to go off into your own private section to look at a separate section of shapewear, which isn’t really liberating.
Both companies offer good-quality products but we noticed that Spanx was a little more overpriced that Shapermint. However, Spanx offered a wider variety of selection and color choices. But Shapermint actually made us feel good about our bodies and that we shouldn’t be ashamed of wearing something that makes us feel better about ourselves.
